 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare . The director of the Secret Service in the United States has stepped down from her job following the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump that unleashed an outcry about how the agency tasked with protecting current and former presidents could fail in its core mission.


Kimberly Cheatle has served as Secret Service director since August 2022.


Cheatle announced her departure in an email she sent to staff. 


She had been facing growing calls to resign and several investigations into how the shooter was able to get so close to the Republican presidential nominee at an outdoor campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
