M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. 5 PEOPLE CHARGED IN DEATH OF MATTHEW PERRY INCLUDING HIS ASSISTANT AND 2 DOCTORS. (PHOTO).

5 people charged in death of Matthew Perry including his assistant and 2 doctors.

Arrests have been made close to one year after the untimely death of Matthew Perry. According to the U.S Attorney, Martin Estrada, all the defendants knew what they were doing and used Perry's addictions to benefit themselves.

Among those charged were Matthew Perry's live-in personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, and two medical doctors, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez.

Matthew Perry had been undergoing ketamine therapy to treat his severe anxiety and depression.  As a result he became addicted to the drug and when doctors cut off his supply he sought out the drug from illegal sources. Allegedly, the doctors that are charged were selling the drug illegally to Perry's assistant.

Police have released that Matthew received several injections of ketamine administered by his assistant on the day of his death. This resulted in his having an amount of ketamine that would be used as anesthesia during surgery.

Two of the five people were taken into custody while two others, including his assistant, have already pleaded guilty and the fifth person has already agreed to a guilty plea.

There is no report as to what type of sentence the five involved individuals are going to face.
