 LASG TO PUBLISH NAMES OF LAND USE CHARGE DEFAULTERS  In a bid to enhance transparency, drive compliance, and boost infrastructure funding, the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Finance, will begin publishing the names of individuals and organizations that have defaulted in the payment of the Land Use Charge (LUC). According to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Tajudeen Mahmud, the action is in line with the provisions of the Land Use Charge Law of 2020 and follows the government’s concerted efforts to serve property owners with the annual LUC bills.  He noted that many property owners have fulfilled their obligations promptly, while a significant number have continued to neglect payment despite repeated notices. Mahmud said that the publication of defaulters’ names which is set to commence in April 2025, precedes further enforcement actions, including the receivership process, as permitted by law. “The Land Use Charge is a crucial source of ...

 A heartbreaking loss for 50 Cent. His grandfather, the man who raised him, has passed. A life dedicated to family, now honored and remembered. Rest in peace 🕊️

She's coming back. My grandfather would just look at me and say that, he really doesn't understand dęath but I only understood that my mum was déad and gone forever later in life. I never knew my father and I never actually met him. Some people have that parent that they actually want in their lives for a long time but I don't ever wanna meet my father. It's not because of the things I heard about him but there are mîstakes that I made and paths which I took earlier in my life that he could've stôpped me from making them if he was there for me." 50 Cent

Fathers should do all they can to always be there for their children even if they don't have the finances or aren't getting along with their mother.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
