  Portable breaks down in tears and apologizes again for slapping preacher Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, broke down in tears as he issued yet another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar. The singer's apology, which is his second in a row, comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences. The controversial street star explained that his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor. He added that he would not have slapped the preacher if he knew he was a "true man of God." However, in a recent video, Portable is seen on his knees crying profusely, as he expressed remorse for his actions against the preacher. A MOTHER AND HER FIVE CHILDREN DIED AFTER EATING DANWAKE IN KANO. (PHOTO).

 A mother and her five children have lost their lives after eating Danwake, a local Hausa delicacy in Karkari village, Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano State. 


 

The incident occurred at late Malam Abdulkarin house, on Thursday, August 15.

 

A neighbour, Garba Muhammad told Daily Trust that due to economic hardship and hunger, the widow who was the one catering for her five children used an expired cassava flour to prepare the food.

 

“Eating the food led to the d£ath of the six members of the family, including the mother," the source said. 

 

Those who lost their lives include Alhakatu Abdulkarim and her five children; Bashir, Firdausi, Hafsat, Usman and Jamilu.

 

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the incident on Saturday, August 17, said six members of the family who ate the food were rushed to Gwarzo General Hospital where they were confirmed d£ad by doctors

 

Kiyawa added that investigation had commenced to ascertain the cause of their d£ath..
