 APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL PRESS STATEMENT ATIKU MUST EXPLAIN THE LEGAL AND FISCAL BASIS OF HIS PETROL SUBSIDY PROPOSAL At his press conference in Abuja on Friday, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar reiterated his proposed  “production subsidy” for locally refined petrol, which he said would reduce pump prices. He went further to ask President Bola Tinubu to slash the cost of diesel and petrol at the pump. That proposal raises important legal, fiscal and practical questions that he must answer. Section 205(1) of the Petroleum Industry Act 2021 provides that unrestricted free-market conditions shall determine wholesale and retail prices of petroleum products. The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, in a statement on Saturday, explained that it neither fixes pump prices nor issues administrative price templates, except where the statutory conditions for intervention are met. Al Pacino's Girlfriend Noor Alfallah Says,Marriage Is Off the Table After He Became Father at 83


Last year, acclaimed actor Al Pacino welcomed his son Roman with girlfriend

Noor Alfallah, starting a new family at 83 and becoming one of the oldest fathers in recorded history. The couple isn't getting married anytime soon, though.

On Aug. 19, TMZ caught up with Alfallah and asked about how things are going with the baby and her partner. She called Pacino an

"amazing" father, and when asked if she's changed her mind on marriage at all, she simply admitted, "I don't know."


The comments come after Alfallah shot down the idea of marrying Pacino last year. The 30-year-old producer was asked if she'd tie the knot with The Godfather star, to which she answered "I don't think so." When pressed further, she was honest with her thoughts.

"I'm not the marrying type," she said. "I'm not in the mood to get married."

Pacino, meanwhile, is likely just focused on his day-to-day as a dad in his 80s. In a 2020 interview with Ramp, he admitted that he doesn't even think about his illustrious career dating back decades that so many young actors revere.


"Maybe it's a blessing for me, and I thank God for that, because I just don't [look back]," he said. "Of course there are some occasions, like when retrospectives of my films are shown, and just go with the flow. And I am grateful for everything I have been allowed to experience. But I don't really like to look back if I can avoid it."
