  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. Al Pacino's Girlfriend Noor Alfallah Says,Marriage Is Off the Table After He Became Father at 83


Last year, acclaimed actor Al Pacino welcomed his son Roman with girlfriend

Noor Alfallah, starting a new family at 83 and becoming one of the oldest fathers in recorded history. The couple isn't getting married anytime soon, though.

On Aug. 19, TMZ caught up with Alfallah and asked about how things are going with the baby and her partner. She called Pacino an

"amazing" father, and when asked if she's changed her mind on marriage at all, she simply admitted, "I don't know."


The comments come after Alfallah shot down the idea of marrying Pacino last year. The 30-year-old producer was asked if she'd tie the knot with The Godfather star, to which she answered "I don't think so." When pressed further, she was honest with her thoughts.

"I'm not the marrying type," she said. "I'm not in the mood to get married."

Pacino, meanwhile, is likely just focused on his day-to-day as a dad in his 80s. In a 2020 interview with Ramp, he admitted that he doesn't even think about his illustrious career dating back decades that so many young actors revere.


"Maybe it's a blessing for me, and I thank God for that, because I just don't [look back]," he said. "Of course there are some occasions, like when retrospectives of my films are shown, and just go with the flow. And I am grateful for everything I have been allowed to experience. But I don't really like to look back if I can avoid it."

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
