 NAF GETS FIRST-EVER SERVING PROFESSOR, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO R&D AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE In a landmark achievement for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and a major boost to its research and development (R&D) endeavours, the Governing Council of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), has approved the appointment of Air Vice Marshal Osichinaka Chiedu Ubadike as Professor of Aerospace Engineering. This makes him the first-ever serving officer in the NAF to be conferred the rank of Professor. Air Vice Marshal Ubadike, an accomplished scholar and military professional, holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Vehicle Design from the esteemed Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. He also possesses 3 other Masters degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), with a First-Class Bachelor of Electrical Electronics Engineering degree from NDA. ANOTHER YOUTH PASSED AWAY FROM FOOTBALL PRACTICE IN THE UNITED STATES. (PHOTO).

 Sadly, another youth has passed away from football practice adding to this year's growing list of youth football fatalities. 


Cohen Craddock, an eight grade student at Madison Middle School in West Virginia, passed away after an injury during practice.


According to reports, Craddock sustained a head injury on Friday, August 23rd. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. 


There is no report on exactly how Craddock sustained such a traumatic head injury while at practice.


Madison Middle School Principal Shann Elkins has gone on record as saying, "We would like everyone to know that Cohen was a wonderful, polite, and smart young man who was an important part of our school family."


Our thoughts are with the friends and family of Cohen Craddock.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
