 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). "We have made a collective decision: no electricity, no vote," said community leader Lesiba Rankapole, 59. "We know it is illegal, but we had no choice because we cannot live without electricity. ANOTHER YOUTH PASSED AWAY FROM FOOTBALL PRACTICE IN THE UNITED STATES. (PHOTO).

 Sadly, another youth has passed away from football practice adding to this year's growing list of youth football fatalities. 


Cohen Craddock, an eight grade student at Madison Middle School in West Virginia, passed away after an injury during practice.


According to reports, Craddock sustained a head injury on Friday, August 23rd. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. 


There is no report on exactly how Craddock sustained such a traumatic head injury while at practice.


Madison Middle School Principal Shann Elkins has gone on record as saying, "We would like everyone to know that Cohen was a wonderful, polite, and smart young man who was an important part of our school family."


Our thoughts are with the friends and family of Cohen Craddock.
