 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.  Borno commissioner dies in his room


The Commissioner for Finance in Borno State, Ahmed Ali Ahmed, is dead.


Details of his death are still sketchy, but sources familiar with the incident told our correspondent that the commissioner died inside his room on Monday morning.


The deceased was said to have exceeded the time he usually comes out in the morning.


His door was then forced open where his corpse was found.


“Oga is no more, he died early this morning,” the source told Daily Trust.


Borno State Government wishes to announce the death of Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the State Commissioner of Finance.


The statement from the Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar, in Maiduguri indicates that the burial is slated for 5:00 p.m. today at the family house of the late commissioner in Damboa Road behind Indimi’s residence.


In a statement, Borno State Government confirmed the death of Ahmed.
