 Sudan urges displaced citizens abroad to return home Sudan has called on all displaced citizens living abroad to return home, as the government steps up efforts to facilitate voluntary repatriation and remove barriers facing returnees. Prime Minister Kamil Idris said his office is committed to easing the return process and ensuring citizens can actively contribute to rebuilding the country, state media SUNA reports. Speaking during a visit to the Ashkeit border crossing in Wadi Halfa, Idris said authorities have taken steps to eliminate illegal levies and ensure that returning citizens are not subjected to additional fees, compulsory charges or arbitrary customs duties. He noted that such practices had previously placed an unnecessary burden on citizens without benefiting the state.  *Canada Covid Protestors Cleared of Plotting to Kill Police*


Not Guilty Verdict*: Two Canadian men, Anthony Olienick and Chris Carbert, were found not guilty of conspiring to murder police during protests over Covid-19 measures .


Charges and Convictions: Although they were cleared of the murder plot charges, they were convicted of other charges, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose ¹. Mr. Olienick was also convicted of possessing a pipe bomb . 


Coutts Blockade*: The charges were related to the blockade in the village of Coutts, which was part of the "Freedom Convoy" protests that broke out in Canada in early 2022 . 


Freedom Convoy Protests*: The protests were a series of demonstrations inspired by the Freedom Convoy truck protest in Ottawa over Covid-19 restrictions and vaccine mandates .

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
