 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Dozens injured in Germany after ferris wheel catches fire at music festival



At least 30 people have been injured at a music festival near Leipzig, Germany after a ferris wheel suddenly caught fire.

Two of the 30 injured people are in a serious condition, according to Germany's Red Cross.

Four people suffered burns and one was inured in a fall while smoke inhalation affected 18 people, AFP reported citing police sources.


The fire started in one gondola and spread to a second on Saturday night, police said. Four people suffered burns and one suffered injuries from a fall. Others, including first responders and at least four police officers, were to be examined in the hospital for possible smoke inhalation.


The incident took place at the Highfield festival at Störmthaler Lake near Leipzig. Police are investigating the cause of the fire.


As of Sunday morning, police were still unable to provide concrete information about the condition of those injured. The exact number of casualties had also not been determined.

The operator of the ferris wheel told dpa that no passengers were sitting in the gondola in which the fire started.
