 Walton, Kentucky- 2 elderly women lose their lives and another individual is critically injured in a crash that caused a dump truck to crash through restaurant.  While diners were enjoying a meal at Boondocks Pub on Tuesday, April 8th, a tragic incident occurred shattering the peaceful scene. At around 4:30 p.m. an SUV pulled out in front of a fully loaded dump truck. The driver of the dump truck attempted to brake and steer clear of the SUV but they were not able to avoid a collision. The SUV was struck by the dump truck and the impact caused the SUV to cross the southbound lane where it struck a guardrail and flipped before coming to rest on its top. Sadly the crash took the lives of 91-year-old Eva Mulberry and 89-year-old Betty Holland. A 66-year-old woman who was in the SUV was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi has mourned those who lost their in the just concluded #Endbadgovernance protests in the country.

Extending heartfelt sympathies to the families who suffered losses in the struggle, Obi said the deceased gave their lives while advocating for better governance in the nation.

In a post on his X handle on Sunday, the former Anambra State Governor said that addressing insecurity, fighting corruption, alleviating hardship, and combating poverty were urgent matters that required immediate attention.

He, therefore, called on all leaders to take decisive action to resolve those critical issues.

Obi said: ā€œWith the #Endbadgovernance protests officially concluded yesterday, I want to once again express my deepest condolences to all who have lost their lives, including the security personnel, during these protests.

ā€œThese individuals gave their lives while advocating for better governance in our nation. I extend my heartfelt sympathies to all the families who have suffered losses in this struggle. We all share in your grief, as we work together for the betterment of our country.

ā€œMay we all find the strength to endure this irreplaceable loss. To those who are wounded and recovering in hospitals and at home, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you for a swift recovery. Your sacrifices for our nationā€™s cause are deeply appreciated.

ā€œI also want to take this moment to urge all leaders to reflect on the cries of the suffering people and address their legitimate demands. It is crucial for us, the leaders, to urgently address the issues that sparked and fueled these protests.

ā€œAddressing insecurity, fighting corruption, alleviating hardship, and combating poverty are urgent matters that require immediate attention. I call on all leaders to take decisive action to resolve these critical issues.

ā€œMay the deceased rest in peace, and may the injured recover fully and swiftly.
