  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician.  A former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has revealed how he battled and survived an aggressive form of cancer.

In a video that went viral on Tuesday, Oritsejafor, the Senior Pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, Warri, Delta State, appearing sober and reflective, recounted the challenging journey he faced, detailing the emotional, physical, and spiritual trials that came with his diagnosis.


In the three-minute video, the clergy noted that his faith played a crucial role in his recovery


He said, “How do you face cancer and still stand like this?


What I have not told you is when I was going to America, full of cancer, you did not know. I did not tell you. I looked normal because that is my way of life.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
