 Sudan urges displaced citizens abroad to return home Sudan has called on all displaced citizens living abroad to return home, as the government steps up efforts to facilitate voluntary repatriation and remove barriers facing returnees. Prime Minister Kamil Idris said his office is committed to easing the return process and ensuring citizens can actively contribute to rebuilding the country, state media SUNA reports. Speaking during a visit to the Ashkeit border crossing in Wadi Halfa, Idris said authorities have taken steps to eliminate illegal levies and ensure that returning citizens are not subjected to additional fees, compulsory charges or arbitrary customs duties. He noted that such practices had previously placed an unnecessary burden on citizens without benefiting the state. Represented by the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Tola Faseru, Adeleke praised the Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa, Oba Odunayo Ajayi, for bestowing the title upon his wife, describing it as a clear demonstration of affection and respect for his family..


A statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, issued in Osogbo on Saturday, included Adeleke’s remarks: “I must congratulate my dear wife for this honour and the family. This chieftaincy title represents our government’s and the Adeleke family’s ongoing commitment to supporting the people of the state. I thank Kabiyesi for this recognition. It will inspire us to do even more for Osun State.”

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
