NKECHI EZE, ON TOUR OF POLICE MEDICAL FACILITIES IN THE STATE As AIG Intensifies Advocacy on “Know Your Numbers” Health Campaign The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc mnips PhD, today 19th February 2026, received on behalf of officers and men of the Command, the Pioneer Force Medical Director, Nkechi Eze BDS MPH, fspsp Assistant Inspector-General of Police, during her official tour of all Police medical facilities in the State. The CP warmly welcomed the AIG and her entourage, describing the visit as timely and significant in strengthening healthcare delivery within the Command. GOV. SANWO-OLU MOURNS FORMER IKEJA NBA CHAIRMAN, ADESINA OGUNLANA. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has mourned the passing of human rights activist and former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja Branch, Barr. Comrade Adesina Ogunlana.


Governor Sanwo-Olu, who described Ogunlana’s death as shocking and a great loss to Lagos State, commiserated with the deceased family and the entire members of the NBA, particularly the Ikeja Branch, over the death of “the fearless and courageous lawyer.”


In a statement issued on Wednesday, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu described the death of Ogunlana as a great loss to his family, associates, clients, and legal practitioners.


He said Comrade Ogunlana, who is referred to as “Serubawon” by some of his colleagues, lived a fulfilled life by making positive impact in the lives of the ordinary people, during his lifetime.


Governor Sanwo-Olu prayed for the repose of the soul of the dead and for God to grant the family and friends of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

    The death of Adesina Ogunlana is a colossal loss to the entire nation and Nigerian Bar Association generally. The end of an era. RIP

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
