 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. GUNMEN KILL STUDENTS IN YOBE SCHOOL. (PHOTO).

 Gunmen kill students in Yobe School 


Gunmen, believed to be Boko Haram insurgents, have attacked Faudiya School in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State killing some students. 


The school is associated with the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), a Shiia sect in Nigeria.


According to sources who spoke to Daily Trust, the attackers struck in Hausari quarters in Geidam LGA around 3:44am on Friday. They entered the school while the students were sleeping.


“The incident occurred at around 3:44 am, when the gunmen invaded Faudiya School a well known Shiite school in Geidam.”


“They (gunmen) attacked the school when these youth were asleep and brought them outside and shot them dead. The source said. 


Another source from the vigilantes command told Daily Trust that three members of Shiia sect were killed while one sustained injuries.


The Yobe State Police Command confirmed the incident, and the Assistant Director of the Public Relations Unit of Operation Lafiya Dole Sector 2 Damaturu promised to provide more information.
