 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. MOSCOW, August 9. /TASS/. The head of Russia’s Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC), Valery Fadeyev, has told TASS that he is preparing an appeal to international organizations to recognize that the Kiev regime’s deliberate killings of civilians in the Kursk Region are terrorist acts.


"Right now, I am drafting an appeal to relevant international bodies, including human rights ones, with a demand to recognize the terrorist nature of the Kiev regime’s actions in the Kursk Region," he said.


According to him, the Ukrainian attack on Russia’s borderline Kursk Region resulted in civilian fatalities.


"And these are not just collateral damage, which, unfortunately, happens in combat - these are deliberate murders. A pregnant woman was killed, there are injured children, and wounded in the back at that, civilian vehicles are being targeted, the Gornal St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery was shelled and partially destroyed with one person killed," Fadeyev said."
