 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. NATIONAL PROTEST: Relaxation of Curfew as Security Situation Improves in Azare Town 


The Bauchi State Police Command is glad to announce that following steady improvements in the security situation, the curfew previously imposed on Azare town on Monday, August 5th, has been adjusted. The 24-hour curfew has now been reduced to a more manageable 12-hour period from 6 PM to 6 AM daily. 


We extend our appreciation to the residents for their incredible cooperation and patience during this period. Together with other security agencies in the state, the Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
