  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties.  Ogun First Lady distributes cash, food to boost breastfeeding. 

The wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has offered cash and food items to over 200 nursing mothers, towards improving the well-being of mothers and children in the state..


Mrs. Abiodun, according to a statement on Saturday, presented the gifts during an awareness programme organised by her office in celebration of Breastfeeding Week with the theme, “Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All”.


The programme was held at Ilisan Primary Healthcare Center, Ilisan Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of the state..


The First Lady reiterated her dedication to promoting breastfeeding through sensitisation, education and community engagements, to enable mothers, families and the general populace to know the significance of exclusive breastfeeding in particular..

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
