 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. OHIO MOTHER LANDS BEHIND BARS AFTER A VIDEO GOES VIRAL SHOWING HER DISTURBING INTERACTION WITH HER BABY. (PHOTO).

 Ohio mother lands behind bars after a video goes viral showing her disturbing interaction with her baby.


21-year-old Haley Ryan from Montgomery County, Ohio, has been booked into jail with formal charges pending. The arrest comes after a video began making rounds on social media. This prompted numerous calls to the Montgomery County Sheriff's office, some from as far away as Texas. All of the callers were demanding justice for the baby seen in the video.


According to reports, the video shows Ryan leaning over a crib before shrieking at the baby inside of the crib. After this it appears Ryan is striking the baby inside of the crib multiple times. She then storms away and the person recording (presumably the father) is seen going to check on the baby before the video ends.


The child is less than 1-year-old and the incident occurred inside of the father's apartment in Harrison Township. Police say it is still a very active investigation and the father could face charges for failure to report or intervene. 


The child is now safe, happy, and in protective custody.  Haley Ryan is being held on $25,000 bond and is due in court August 21st.


What charges do you believe the father should face? On one hand, he provided the overwhelming evidence and on the other hand he did not intervene.
