 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Port Harcourt Refinery: NNPCL announces September as fresh commencement date


The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has announced September 2024 as a new date for the commercial commencement of Port Harcourt Refinery.


The Chief Financial Officer of NNPCL, Umar Ajiya disclosed this on Monday while speaking with journalists in Abuja.


According to him, the petroleum products will be ready for testing before it is usually supplied to the domestic market in September.


Earlier, the national president of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, Billy Gillis-Harry had hinted that the refinery is set for commencement.


This comes after several announcements of commencement dates that had not come to light.


Recall that in July, Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL had announced that the refinery, with a combined capacity of 250 million barrels per day, would commence operation in August.


Similarly, the firm had announced March and July 2024 dates for the commencement of the refinery after its mechanical completion in December last year.
