  Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the pastor of Christ Embassy, has blamed the Covid-19 vaccine for the death of Pope Francis.  Oyakhilome said that when the coronavirus vaccines came out, Pope Francis was one of those who encouraged people to take the vaccine and he also took it to serve as an example.     The pastor, who has made no secret his distrust for the Covid-19 vaccine, added that he was against the pontiff's stance on taking the vaccine.    He stated that since the Pope took the vaccine, he has been sick and in and out of hospital.  "He was killed by the vaccine," Oyakhilome said boldly. President Bola Tinubu warmly congratulates Nigeria's D’Tigress on qualifying for the quarter-final of the women’s basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics. 


D’Tigress will be the first African team in basketball to play in the quarter-finals at the Olympics.


The President commends the team for their uncommon demonstration of resilience, teamwork, and diligence.


President Tinubu also commends the coach and managers of the team for their dutifulness and dedication.


The President enjoins the brave Tigress not to rest on their oars until the final victory is won.


President Tinubu assures the team and the entire Nigerian contingent at the 2024 Olympics of his support as they fly the nation’s flag at the global sports event.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
