  Portable breaks down in tears and apologizes again for slapping preacher Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, broke down in tears as he issued yet another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar. The singer's apology, which is his second in a row, comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences. The controversial street star explained that his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor. He added that he would not have slapped the preacher if he knew he was a "true man of God." However, in a recent video, Portable is seen on his knees crying profusely, as he expressed remorse for his actions against the preacher. PROTEST MONITORING IN SOUTHWEST: ACG INVESTIGATION VISITS  LAGOS COMMAND, COMMENDS

PERSONNEL, HARPS ON STAKEHOLDERS' ENGAGEMENT.


The Assistant Commandant General in charge of Investigation, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), National Headquarters, Abuja, ACG Makinde Iskil Ayinla visited, the Lagos State Command today, Tuesday, 6th August, 2024. His visit was aimed at monitoring the activities, conduct and operational performance of personnel amongst other very salient reasons in the state.


The Assistant Commandant General in charge of Investigation also doubles as the Supervisor of the Corps, for the Nationwide Protest in SouthWest of Nigeria. He therefore , seized the opportunity to address the management of the command in an urgent crucial meeting in the command.


In the ACG's address to the management of the command, he delivered, the goodwill message of the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, over the quality conduct and performance of the command's personnel before and during the nationwide protest. He however, charged, the various Heads of Departments and Units present at the meeting to ensure they give their best support to the State Commandant in a bid to sustain the peace already achieved, at this critical time. He also warned, against complacency, indolence, Indiscipline and unprofessionalism amongst officers and asked that the message cascades to all personnel across the formations of the command in the state. 


The State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, welcomed the ACG and appreciated the Commandant General for sending him to the State of Excellence, to monitor activities in Lagos especially, at this critical time. He said that this further shows the love the CG has for all the State Commands and we appreciate him for extending same to our dear State. 


The Lagos State Commandant also seized, the opportunity to highlight operational deployments of personnel to protect all the critical national assets and infrastructure, designated parks; Freedom and Peace Parks and other nooks and crannies of the state before, during and to ensure further strengthened security and safety after the protest.
