 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award.  Singer Portable injured, robbed by 'area boys' in Lagos


Nigerian street-pop artiste Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has taken to social media to share disturbing videos of injuries he sustained during a recent attack at an event in Lagos.

Portable, known for his controversial public persona, revealed in his post that he and his team were assaulted by a group of individuals identified as “Egbon Adugbo” at an event in Iju-Ishaga, Lagos State.


The singer was reportedly attending a celebration for a friend who is a car vendor when the incident occurred.

According to Portable, his presence and behavior at the event drew unwanted attention, leading to a violent confrontation.


In his social media statement,Portable disclosed that the attackers not only inflicted severe injuries but also made off with several pieces of his expensive jewelry.

The robbers also stole two iPhones belonging to one of his managers, an ATM card, one of Portable’s cars, and various other personal items.


This attack comes after Portable’s recent social media celebration of the birth of his manager’s Babyluv’s first child


A video that he shared shows him being lifted with effort and made to sit on a couch after supposedly being assaulted.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
