 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. A man claiming to be from South Africa has released a video calling for a ceasefire from Nigerians after an online spat between both countries split into reality.

Recall that last week, South Africans started an economic sabotage of sorts by ordering Uber from Nigeria and sending the drivers to addresses in Nigeria. 

Nigerians living in Nigeria retaliated and brought businesses in South Africa to a halt after ordering for online services in South Africa from the comfort of their homes in Nigeria and giving the addresses of random South African homes as the pick-up location.

In a video going viral on TikTok, a man is seen saying he's speaking on behalf of South Africans. He begged Nigerians to stop the economic sabotage, adding that a lot of businesses have been damaged as a result.
