TELL NIGERIANS NATURE OF TINUBU'S TRIP TO FRANCE- ATIKU'S AIDE TO PRESIDENCY. (PHOTO)

Tell Nigerians nature of Tinubuā€™s trip to France ā€“ Atikuā€™s aide to Presidency

The spokesman to former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe, on Tuesday, charged the President to explain to Nigerians the duration of President Bola Tinubuā€™s visit to France.

Ibe also charged the Presidency to explain to Nigerians the nature of Tinubuā€™s engagement in France.

A statement by Tinubuā€™s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale had informed that the President will be departing Abuja, the nationā€™s capital for France.

Ngelale explained that the President would return to Nigeria after his brief work stay in France.

The statement was, however, silent on the motive for the Presidentā€™s trip.

Reacting, Ibe said Nigerians have taken a cue from the late President Musa Yarā€™Adua; hence the need for transparency over Tinubuā€™s trip to France.

Posting on X, Ibe wrote: ā€œCould you kindly elucidate the duration of President Bola Tinubuā€™s visit to France, or is this engagement open-ended?

ā€œFurthermore, might you provide insight into the nature of the ā€œbrief workā€ being undertaken in France, or is this matter held in secrecy?

ā€œGiven that the President of Nigeria serves as a public steward funded by the nationā€™s resources, it is of paramount importance that Nigerians are kept apprised of his travel plans, objectives, and schedules.

ā€œI trust that, having learned from the Yarā€™Adua experience, we are committed to upholding a higher standard of transparency.ā€
