 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Thierry Henry Steps Down as France U21 Coach After Olympic Success


Thierry Henry is no longer the head coach of France's U21 national team. The French Football Federation (FFF) officially announced his departure on Monday, August 19. 


After leading the team to an Olympic silver medal, Henry decided to step down, ending his contract, which was set to run until June 2025. According to the FFF's statement, Henry cited personal reasons for his decision and discussed his departure with FFF President Philippe Diallo.


Appointed in August 2023, the former Arsenal striker opted not to continue his tenure following the successful Olympic campaign. As of now, there is no information on what Henry's next career move will be.
