 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Trafficking of Fake Passports: 12 Cameroonians and 3 Congolese Arrested in Brazzaville


According to the Congolese media, an operation to dismantle a network trafficking false passports has led to the arrest of 12 Cameroonians and 3 Congolese in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. 


The suspects were presented to the media on August 28, 2024 and are currently being prosecuted for their involvement in the case.


According to the public prosecutor, André Oka Ngakala, trafficking false passports is very common in Congo.


The investigation, opened following a discovery at the Brazzaville documentation centre, revealed that foreign nationals were using illegal means to obtain Congolese passports.


The 15 suspects were taken into custody before being referred to the public prosecutor. They will be tried before the courts of the Republic of Congo for their involvement in this network trafficking in false passports.
