 Four North Carolina utility workers were tragically killed when a dump truck driver drove through a stop sign and crashed into a crew of workers. This heartbreaking incident occurred at 1:23 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in Eden, North Carolina. According to reports, a City of Eden dump truck driven by 66-year-old Michael Vernon ran a stop sign at the intersection of Carroll and Church Street in Eden. After blowing through the intersection, Vernon struck 6 utility workers with Duke Energy who were working on power lines for Carolina Power and Signalization. The dump truck then struck an occupied bucket truck before going off the road into a ditch. Four of the utility workers were sadly pronounced deceased on the scene while 2 others were life-flighted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. WIFE ARRESTED FOR THE GRUESOME MURDER OF HER HUSBAND AT MALUNGANE VILLAGE IN NAMAKGALE, PHALABORWA. (PHOTO).

Wife arrested for the gruesome murder of her husband at Malungane village in Namakgale, Phalaborwa 


Namakgale police have arrested a 52-year-old woman in connection with the alleged murder of her 63-year-old husband. The incident took place at Malungane village in Phalaborwa on Tuesday, 27 August 2024, at about 22:00.


 Reportedly, the couple was at home with their two grandchildren when the husband, who was allegedly intoxicated, ordered them to leave the house, resulting in a fight.


The suspect then assaulted the victim with an unknown object on his upper body. The suspect was arrested the following day on Wednesday, 28 August 2024.


The victim was certified dead at the scene. and the police opened a murder case for further investigation.  


The suspect will appear before Namakgale Magistrate's Court tomorrow, 30 August 2024.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha.
