 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. WIFE ARRESTED FOR THE GRUESOME MURDER OF HER HUSBAND AT MALUNGANE VILLAGE IN NAMAKGALE, PHALABORWA. (PHOTO).

Wife arrested for the gruesome murder of her husband at Malungane village in Namakgale, Phalaborwa 


Namakgale police have arrested a 52-year-old woman in connection with the alleged murder of her 63-year-old husband. The incident took place at Malungane village in Phalaborwa on Tuesday, 27 August 2024, at about 22:00.


 Reportedly, the couple was at home with their two grandchildren when the husband, who was allegedly intoxicated, ordered them to leave the house, resulting in a fight.


The suspect then assaulted the victim with an unknown object on his upper body. The suspect was arrested the following day on Wednesday, 28 August 2024.


The victim was certified dead at the scene. and the police opened a murder case for further investigation.  


The suspect will appear before Namakgale Magistrate's Court tomorrow, 30 August 2024.
