 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.  Ajuri Ngelale Can Now Switch Off Phone, Rest Well And Add Weight – Shehu Sani


A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central District in the 8th Senate, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the indefinite leave of absence embarked upon by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity.


Ngelale had in a statement issued on Saturday said he had submitted a memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Friday informing him of his plan to proceed on indefinite leave.


He added that he has temporarily stepped down as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.


According to Ngelale, he stepped down from his role to deal with medical matters presently affecting his immediate family.


In his reaction to the development via a post on his official X handle, Sani stated that Ngelale can now rest well, switch off his phone and even regain his weight.


“Ajuri can now rest well,sleep well,eat well,switch off his phone and even add some weight,” Sani wrote.
