 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Ajuri Ngelale Can Now Switch Off Phone, Rest Well And Add Weight – Shehu Sani


A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central District in the 8th Senate, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the indefinite leave of absence embarked upon by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity.


Ngelale had in a statement issued on Saturday said he had submitted a memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Friday informing him of his plan to proceed on indefinite leave.


He added that he has temporarily stepped down as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.


According to Ngelale, he stepped down from his role to deal with medical matters presently affecting his immediate family.


In his reaction to the development via a post on his official X handle, Sani stated that Ngelale can now rest well, switch off his phone and even regain his weight.


“Ajuri can now rest well,sleep well,eat well,switch off his phone and even add some weight,” Sani wrote.
