 Group Defend Sports Minister Enoh Over N150 Million Car Controversy Report  The Civil Society Network for Good Governance has rejected claims that Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of Sports Development, recently acquired a N150 million luxury vehicle. The group, led by Barrister Adefila Kamal, issued a statement clarifying that the purchase of vehicles was included in the ministry’s 2024 budget, and the minister was not personally involved in the procurement process. Kamal explained that the vehicles were necessary for the ministry’s operations, addressing long-standing logistical challenges. “Officials have been relying on personal or malfunctioning vehicles, which hinders the smooth running of the ministry’s activities,” Kamal noted, stressing that these were practical, not extravagant, purchases.  Atiku donates N100m to Borno flood victims


Atiku announced the donation on Sunday during a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno in Maiduguri.


Atiku prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives and speedy recovery for the injured as well as those who lost their properties.


The former vice president also urged for more support from organisations and philanthropists to the government and people of Borno to facilitate the recovery process.


He also urged for an investigation of the cause of the incident for adequate measures to prevent future occurrences.


 Yobe and Gombe state delegations who visited also announced ₦100m donations each.
