 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.  Father Admits to Gifting Weapon used in Georgia School Shooting



A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of four people in a high school shooting in Georgia, while his father faces multiple manslaughter charges, according to a CNN report on Thursday. Colin Gray, 54, is facing charges that include four counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of second-degree murder. His son, Colt Gray, is accused of using an AR-style rifle to kill two students and two teachers during the attack at Apalachee High School on Wednesday.


The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) revealed that Colt will be tried as an adult and faces four counts of felony murder. The shooting also left seven others injured, including six students and one teacher, with two additional students sustaining non-gunshot-related injuries. GBI Director Chris Hosey stated that Colin Gray is being charged for "knowingly allowing" his son to possess a weapon, which was reportedly purchased as a Christmas gift.


This tragic shooting, which occurred just weeks into the new school year, is the 45th school shooting in the US this year, marking the deadliest since the March 2023 incident at The Covenant School in Nashville, which claimed six lives. Authorities have confirmed that the nine injured in this latest attack are expected to fully recover.
