 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  Go And Pay Your Respect To Filmmaking Experts – RMD Sends Advice To Basketmouth

Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has offered words of advice to comedian-turned-filmmaker, Basketmouth.


RMD advised him to seek guidance from experts in the movie industry as he launches his debut movie, “A Ghetto Love Story.”


Speaking via Instagram, the thespian congratulated Basketmouth on his bold move, emphasising that filmmaking requires more than raw talent.


He asserted that filmmaking does not require talent alone, but also learning from experts who have paved the way.


He recommended collaborating with established filmmakers, like Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, AY Makun and Kunle Afolayan as industry heavyweights worth seeking out.


RMD said: “Congratulations on your new film ‘A Ghetto Love Story’. I say make I call you, hail you first and then give you advice. You know you are entering a place where people have already established. Hold ground.


“You fit press things for different places. This is not comedy. Do not do it anyhow. This na film.


“When you enter, go find people wey hold ground. People wey dey control the whole area. All of them like Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, AY, Kunle Afolayan and other people wey dey do film well. Wey be oga. Call them.


“Tell them you want to know one or two things. Comedy with Buchi fit work, but that na after you don pay respect to people wey hold ground.”
