 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.  How Bandits Attacked Catholic, ECWA Churches In Kajuru, Abducted Pastor, 30 Others

 

Three people have been feared dead, and 30 others have been kidnapped following a bandits' attack on churches in Bakinpah-Maro, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on Sunday.


The former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, confirmed the incident, stating that the assailants arrived in large numbers around 10am.


They reportedly targeted both an ECWA church and a Catholic church. 


"The bandits came in large numbers and attacked the two churches," Caino said, according to The Nation. 


Among those abducted was Bernard Gajera, a pastor from one of the churches. 


The police have yet to release a statement on the attack.


This attack comes amid recent efforts by the Maro community to raise funds for a security post to attract more law enforcement personnel, addressing persistent security issues that have disrupted farming activities.
