 Malian army withdraws from key Tessalit military camp: sources Mali’s army and its Russian mercenary allies have surrendered Camp Tessalit, a strategic military post in the north, multiple sources told the AFP news agency on Friday. An official from the Tuareg-led separatist group claimed soldiers and mercenaries at the camp had "surrendered", following a fierce fight over the weekend. Simultaneous attacks in Mali by militants linked to Al Qaeda and separatist Tuareg rebels on April 25 showed how fighters ​from different groups with different goals were able to strike at the heart of the West African country's military government. Gunfire and explosions were reported in the capital Bamako and around a large military base outside the capital, as well as Gao and central areas, as gunfire continuing in the northern city of Kidal. IGP PAYS SYMPATHY VISIT TO BORNO, ORDERS RECONSTRUCTION OF DAMAGED POLICE FACILITIES


As IGP Addresses Officers on Steadfastness


The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, today Monday 16th September, 2024 paid a visit to Borno State to sympathise with the government and good people of Borno state on the devastating flood that had wreaked havoc in some communities in the state.


The IGP accompanied by Deputy Inspectors General of Police of the departments of Finance & Administration and Operations, DIG Bala Ciroma, and DIG Ede Ayuba along with the AIG Airwing, AIG Danladi Lalas, also paid a sympathy visit to the Borno State Governor, His Excellency Prof. Babagan Zulum, at the Government house where the Governor of Bauchi, His Excellency Bala mohammed and other dignitaries were present to sympathise with the Borno State Government.


The IGP expressed his healthfelt sympathy to the governor on behalf of the entire police family in Nigeria, while reaffirming the commitment of the police force to providing adequate security for the residents of the state. The IGP also promised to set in motion machinery to repair the damaged police facilities in the affected communities. 


The Governor of Borno appreciated the IGP for his love and commitment towards reforming the police force. He further commended the IGP for his sterling leadership qualities in piloting the affairs of the police to discharge its duties as expected. 


The IGP later addressed officers and men of the command, harping on Professionalism and dedication towards securing the good people of Borno State and their property even at this trying time of the disaster that just wreaked havoc in the affected communities. The IGP encouraged them to assist the government in providing relief and restoring normalcy back to borno state.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
