 Aguleri–Umuoba Anam Crisis: Bishop Ekwe Urges Calm, Dialogue, Peaceful Resolution ‎ ‎By Nneka Ejeckam ‎ ‎The Bishop of the Diocese of Niger West, Anglican Communion, The Rt. Rev. Johnson N. Ekwe, has on October 2, called for calm and peaceful resolution following the reported crisis arising from a boundary dispute between Amaeze Aguleri and Umuoba Anam communities. ‎ ‎In a statement, Bishop Ekwe expressed sadness over the reported developments, including alleged casualties and destruction of property. He commiserated with affected families, prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and offered prayers for those who suffered losses. ‎ ‎The Bishop appealed to residents of both communities to remain calm, exercise restraint and avoid any further acts of violence or reprisal.  IMSU lecturers begin indefinite strike over delayed benefits


The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Imo State University chapter, on Friday, embarked on an indefinite strike to press home their demands.


In a release signed by its Chairperson, Comrade Odinakachukwu Ejiogu and secretary, Comrade Lazarus Chikwendu, ASUU-IMSU stated, “We are embarking on total and comprehensive indefinite strike effective Friday, 20th September. The decision stems from several unresolved issues persisting for years.”


“We demand end to promotion without financial benefits since 2016, ASUU-IMSU staff salary disparity with other tertiary institutions, undue delay in staff assessment and promotion, selective salary payment and non-payment of arrears of salaries”.


Other demands of ASUU-IMSU according to the letter included, “Non-payment of earned academic allowance since 2009, non remittance of Union check off/welfare dues from 2020-2021, non remittance of pension deduction from May 2016 to date, non-payment of annual increment in salaries, inclusion of IMSU into Treasury Single Account, funding of the University and erosion of the University autonomy.”

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
