South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits.  Indian School Owners Kill 11-Year-Old Student in Sacrificial Ritual for Prosperity

A shocking and disturbing incident has unfolded in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where an 11-year-old student, Kritarth, was allegedly killed as part of a

sacrificial ritual performed by the owners of his school, DL Public School.

According to reports, Indian police have arrested five individuals in connection with the killing of a seven-year-old boy, reportedly sacrificed in a ritual intended to bring prosperity to a public school. The tragic incident occurred in Hathras, a city located near the iconic Taj Mahal, and has drawn widespread attention due to its shocking nature.

According to police sources, the boy was found dead in his hostel bed on Sunday night. However, instead of notifying authorities, the school's director, Dinesh Baghel, reportedly concealed the child's body in the trunk of his car. Speaking on the matter, police officer Himanshu Mathur explained that the victim was killed during preparations for a black magic ritual allegedly performed by Baghel’s father.

“The boy was meant to be taken to an altar as part of a ritual, but got killed before the ceremony could be completed,” Mathur told AFP. He further revealed that Baghel, along with his father and three other teachers at the school, have been taken into custody in connection with the crime.

However, Mathur withheld additional information regarding the precise cause of the child’s death, stating that a post-mortem examination was being conducted to determine further details.

Ritual sacrifices, while rare, are not unheard of in certain regions of India. Between 2014 and 2021, the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) documented 103 cases of human sacrifice across the country. Such killings are typically carried out in remote or tribal areas where beliefs in witchcraft and the occult remain strong, and the sacrifices are often meant to appease deities in exchange for material or spiritual gains.

In a similar case from last year, police arrested five men for the 2019 murder of a 64-year-old woman. She was killed and decapitated with a machete after visiting a temple in India’s northeastern region. Authorities stated that the ringleader was conducting a religious rite in memory of his deceased brother.

This latest incident has reignited concerns over the persistence of ritualistic practices in certain parts of India, highlighting the need for stronger community education and legal interventions to prevent such tragedies.
