 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. LAGOS RELEASES 2024 BECE RESULTS. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.


 The Lagos State Government has released the results of the Year 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).


A statement signed by the Director of Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu informed both Public and Approved Private Junior Secondary Schools in the State that the Year 2024 BECE Results have been released The statement urged authorities concerned to visit the Board’s Portal: https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng using their schools’ default or existing Usernames and Passwords provided during the registration of their students to enable them to print out their Schools’ results with effect from Monday, 23rd September, 2024.


Mr. Orunsolu pointed out that all concerned schools in the State are allowed to have direct access to their results online to eliminate the burden and stress associated with coming to the Board for the physical collection of the results.

The Director added that the initiative would also eliminate the delay usually associated with getting the results in good time.


He further revealed that the date for the conduct of the BECE Resit Examination for students who failed English Studies or Mathematics or both would be duly communicated to all affected schools in due course.


Mr. Orunsolu commended all stakeholders for their cooperation and for being part of the success story of the new policy of the Board.
