 PRESS RELEASE  FG TO PRIORITIZE  RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN THE FACE OF LOW OIL PRICES The Federal Government of Nigeria will pursue diversification of its revenues and adopt greater prudent resource allocation measures to mitigate the impact of low oil prices should it continue, according to Mr. Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. Speaking at a meeting with investors during the ongoing IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington DC yesterday, Mr Wale Edun emphasized that with the recent reforms embarked upon by the present administration, Nigeria is better positioned to deal with global economic uncertainties. Namibian Drug Mule Arrested at OR Tambo Airport


A 30-year-old Namibian woman was caught at OR Tambo International Airport with swallowed bullets of suspected drugs. This marks the tenth drug mule arrest in two months. SAPS, SARS, and immigration officials acted on intel, intercepting her upon arrival from Sao Paulo.


An X-ray confirmed foreign objects in her stomach. She's released over 60 bullets of suspected cocaine so far and remains under police custody.


SAPS National Commissioner General Fannie Masemola praised the team's vigilance, stating, "South Africa won't tolerate criminal activity. We're closing in on transnational organized crime."
