 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Ondo man arrested for shooting rival in concubine’s home


The Ondo state police command has arrested a 43-year-old man, Mr. Ajagba Joseph, for allegedly attempting to murder a man he found in his concubine’s house.


This was made known in a statement shared by the police command on X.com on Wednesday.


According to the statement the incident occurred on August 23rd when Joseph visited his lover’s home and met another man, who was also reportedly in a relationship with the same woman.


Angered by the situation, Joseph allegedly pulled out a single-barrel gun and shot the other man.


The victim survived the attack and is currently recuperating from his injuries.


The statement said, “Attempted Murder – This married man, Mr Ajagba Joseph aged 43 on 23rd of Aug, went to his concubine’s house n met a co concubine, he became angry and shot the other concubine with his single barrel gun, victim recuperating, suspect in custody and will soon be charged to court.


“For clarity, the man met another lover ( a man) in the woman’s house”
