 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  PDP Supporters Protest in Benin Over Collation of Election Results


Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have gathered in large numbers at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin City, protesting the ongoing collation of results from Saturday’s governorship election.


Chanting slogans and waving party flags, the demonstrators voiced their dissatisfaction with the electoral process, alleging irregularities and demanding greater transparency in the tallying of votes at the state collation centre.


The protest comes amidst rising tensions following a closely contested election. PDP supporters insist that their grievances be addressed before the final results are announced.


In a video shared by Channels Television on Sunday, September 22, protesters are seen calling for fairness and accountability from INEC officials, urging the commission to ensure that all votes are counted accurately.


As the collation process continues, the atmosphere remains tense, with the PDP pushing for immediate attention to their concerns regarding the electoral process.
