 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Police, Military launch joint operation against kidnapping in Imo


The Imo State Police Command, in a joint security operation with the military, has launched a specialized squad to smash and dismantle kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent criminal syndicates in the state.


A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer,(PPRO), ASP Henry Okoye disclosed that the joint effort underscores the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of communities in the state.


He said the operation will leverage the combined expertise and resources of both agencies to bring those responsible for the criminal activities to justice.


According to him, there were recent reports of increased kidnapping incidents in those areas which have raised significant concern among residents and students.


Okoye maintained that in responding to the development that the State Police Command has deployed a team of highly trained personnel to conduct focused operations aimed at neutralizing the threat posed by the criminal elements.


“Our objective is to enhance the peace and security of the State and to guarantee that educational institutions, including FUTO, remain safe environments for learning,” he stated.
