 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state.  Real estate company refutes Sophia Momodu’s house ownership claims


A real estate company publicly refutes claims that fashion entrepreneur Sophia Momodu, mother to Afrobeats star Davido’s daughter, Imade Adeleke, is the owner of a luxurious house she recently showcased online.

On Friday, September 20, Momodu took to Snapchat to give her followers a glimpse into what she implied was her newly purchased home.


The video featured a tour of the property’s interior, including a grand staircase and several empty rooms. The display left viewers impressed, sparking conversations across social media about her new acquisition.

However, just hours later, the real estate company associated with the property released a statement denying Momodu’s ownership of the house.


The company claimed that they sold the house to a client and that the client wasn’t Sophia as she doesn’t own a house with them.


In their statement, the company clarified, “It’s the effrontery and the guts to lie with so much confidence.”


The company did not provide further details on why the home was featured in her Snapchat video or if she had been involved in any preliminary negotiations regarding the purchase.

This public rebuttal has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans expressing confusion, while others speculate whether the house tour was simply a preview of a future purchase or a promotional arrangement.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
