 Unknown individuals looted palliatives at our Owerri rally – City Boy Movement An empowerment programme organised by the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Tinubu, descended into disorder on Saturday when a large crowd surged forward and looted items intended for distribution to beneficiaries across Nigeria's South-East region. The event, held at Heroes Square in Owerri, marked the official launch of the Renewed Hope National Tour and the City Boy Movement South-East Youth Tour and Empowerment Programme on March 14, 2026. It aimed to provide support to young people, market traders, and vulnerable individuals from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states.  Real estate company refutes Sophia Momodu’s house ownership claims


A real estate company publicly refutes claims that fashion entrepreneur Sophia Momodu, mother to Afrobeats star Davido’s daughter, Imade Adeleke, is the owner of a luxurious house she recently showcased online.

On Friday, September 20, Momodu took to Snapchat to give her followers a glimpse into what she implied was her newly purchased home.


The video featured a tour of the property’s interior, including a grand staircase and several empty rooms. The display left viewers impressed, sparking conversations across social media about her new acquisition.

However, just hours later, the real estate company associated with the property released a statement denying Momodu’s ownership of the house.


The company claimed that they sold the house to a client and that the client wasn’t Sophia as she doesn’t own a house with them.


In their statement, the company clarified, “It’s the effrontery and the guts to lie with so much confidence.”


The company did not provide further details on why the home was featured in her Snapchat video or if she had been involved in any preliminary negotiations regarding the purchase.

This public rebuttal has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans expressing confusion, while others speculate whether the house tour was simply a preview of a future purchase or a promotional arrangement.
