 LAGOS-IBADAN  KARA BRIDGE ACCIDENT: NO CASUALTY AS  CONTAINER TRUCK CRASHES INTO SIX VEHICLES The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has confirmed that no life was lost and no one susttained injury when a 40-foot container truck crashed into six other vehicles at Kara Bridge, inward OPIC, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Tuesday morning.  The statement says the container truck, which had no registration number, reportedly developed a mechanical fault while in motion, lost control and rammed into the other vehicles. It notes seven vehicles were involved in the crash but the LASEMA’s LRT Tiger Squad, stationed at C3, responded alongside police who moved quickly to manage the scene to prevent another accident.  POLICE PRESS RELEASE:

The Rivers State Police Command is aware of the senseless and sporadic shooting at Abuloma area in the Port-Harcourt City Local Government of the State where the  Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Central Zone were conducting their elections.

Consequently, the Commissioner of Police Rivers State has swiftly despatched Tactical Teams to the scene , but before the arrival of the Police, the perpetrators have run into their hidings.

The Commissioner of Police has given  marching orders to track down the perpetrators and bring them to face the full wrath of the law.

Meanwhile, the Command wishes to advise all law abiding citizens to go about their lawful businesses and report any suspicious movement to the Police, as normalcy has returned to the area please.
