 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  SCREENING EXAMINATION FOR ENTRY INTO GOVERNMENT SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL COLLEGES HOLDS TOMORROW


The screening examination for admission into seven Government Science and Technical Colleges, as well as one Government Technical and Vocational College for the 2024/2025 academic session, will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Government Technical College, Idi-Aba, starting at 8:00 AM. The programme is a 3-year course leading to the award of the National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC).


In a statement signed by the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, it was noted that the examination is open to candidates who have completed their registration through the Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda (OGSERA).


Candidates are required to have either a Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), National Examination Council Senior School Certificate Examination (NECOSSCE), or equivalent qualifications.


The statement also instructed candidates to bring the printout of their registration forms, photocopies of their credentials, and writing materials for the smooth conduct of the exercise. It assured that all necessary arrangements have been made for a successful screening.


Candidates are urged to behave properly during the examination, with best wishes for a successful outcome.
