 Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items  A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation.  SCREENING EXAMINATION FOR ENTRY INTO GOVERNMENT SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL COLLEGES HOLDS TOMORROW


The screening examination for admission into seven Government Science and Technical Colleges, as well as one Government Technical and Vocational College for the 2024/2025 academic session, will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Government Technical College, Idi-Aba, starting at 8:00 AM. The programme is a 3-year course leading to the award of the National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC).


In a statement signed by the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, it was noted that the examination is open to candidates who have completed their registration through the Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda (OGSERA).


Candidates are required to have either a Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), National Examination Council Senior School Certificate Examination (NECOSSCE), or equivalent qualifications.


The statement also instructed candidates to bring the printout of their registration forms, photocopies of their credentials, and writing materials for the smooth conduct of the exercise. It assured that all necessary arrangements have been made for a successful screening.


Candidates are urged to behave properly during the examination, with best wishes for a successful outcome.
