 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area. SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER BEGS THE GOVERNMENT FOR MERCY.(PHOTO).

 A suspected kidnapper who collected N1.5m ransom from the family of his two victims in Plateau state, has begged the government for mercy. 

 

The suspect, Umar Adam abducted the two minors, a boy and girl, and demanded a ransom of N20 million but subsequently accepted N1.5 million to release the victims.


 

He was nabbed by residents of the NEPA community in Jos North Local Government Area of the state last month. 


 

Adam made the appeal when he was paraded alongside other suspects at the state police command on Friday, September 6, where he claimed it was his first time engaging in kidnapping. 

 

“I kidnapped two teenagers and held them in an uncompleted building. After collecting the N1.5 million as ransom, I was on my way to release the victims and hand them over to their relatives when suddenly people apprehended me,” he said. 

 

"This is my first time of committing kidnapping. I beg the government to please show mercy on me. It was a mistake and I promise I will never do it again. I am pleading with the government."
