 INEC yet to finalise delineation of Warri wards — Official  The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it has not taken a final decision on the delineation of wards in the Warri Federal Constituency.  The official said, “Following the Supreme Court judgment, the Commission embarked on extensive consultations from February 2023 to July 2024 involving all the critical stakeholders, followed by fieldwork in all the communities in the three Local Government Areas culminating in the production of a draft report. THREE MEN ROBBING PASSERSBY WITH A PISTOL ARRESTED BY THE LAGOS POLICE. (PHOTOS).

 Officers of Elemoro Division responded to a distress call today, Friday, September 20, 2024 at about 0200hrs about three young men robbing passersby with a pistol and arrested Victor Okoman ‘m’ aged 24, Saheed Balogun ‘m’ aged 38 and David Kaimon ‘m’ aged 27 with a loaded semiautomatic pistol. The suspects led the Police to the recovery of 26 live ammunition. 


Investigation is ongoing.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
