 MINISTRY OF TOURISM HOSTS YOUTH AMBASSADORS FROM STATE'S FIVE DIVISIONS ... Calls for Youth Involvement in Combating Drug Abuse, Promoting Cultural Awareness  The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture on Thursday hosted the Lagos Youth Ambassadors representing the five administrative divisions of the State. Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Olanrewaju Bajulaiye, highlighted the Ministry’s critical role in shaping the future of Lagos youth through the promotion of tourism, cultural preservation, and the creative industries.  While acknowledging the coordinating efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, he emphasised that many youth-targeted initiatives closely align with the goals of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has slammed a fan of her colleague and former rival, Funke Akindele, for putting down her hard work.


Toyin, who is gearing up for her cinema movie debuting in December, shared a throwback photo of her photoshoot for the crew of Ijakumo as she teased a photo shoot with the crew of her upcoming project.


A follower of hers, had compared it to Funke Akindele’s project, questioning why she must always copy Funke Akindele in everything.


“Must you copy Aunty Funke Akindele in everything Chai?”.


Replying to him, Toyin expressed how tired she is of people saying things about her hard work.


“Pls check my recent post cos I’m tired of you all saying this about my hard work.”


In a since-deleted post on her Instagram page, she stated that she was tired of people putting down her hard work as she noted how she celebrates her crew every time. She stressed that they should stop talking down on her hard work.


“Ijakumo crew photoshoot 2022. 2024, be ready for the Alakadabadandboujee crew. Throwback. Idome Iamme, I Am Tired of some of you people putting down my hard work. I work so hard. I celebrate my crew every time, pls stop talking down on my hard work pls.

It is no longer news that there have been years of rivalry between the two screen goddesses, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele, as they have both dominated the TV screen for years and are still doing so.


However, the two ladies settled their differences last year as Toyin Abraham celebrated Funke on her birthday, and she reciprocated. Toyin had also attended Funke Akindele’s movie premiere, which further shut down rumours of animosity between the box office Queens.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
