 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  ‘You fell for the bait’ – Aisha Yesufu blasts DSS over Sowore’s arrest


Socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu has knocked the Department of State Services, DSS over the arrest of the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore.

DAILY POST reported earlier that Sowore, one of the organizers of the EndBadGovernance protests, was picked up by operatives of the secret police in Lagos on Sunday.

He was arrested upon his return to Nigeria from the United States, however, he confirmed his release in a post on X.

Reacting to the arrest, Aisha in a post on her official X handle, said the secret police are shameless and unintelligent.

She wrote, “DSS/SSS is not only shameless but unintelligent. They fell for the bait! Kai!

“No wonder terrorists are using them to chew gum”.
