 Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump. Reacting to the development, Ciise Aden Abshir, a senior adviser to Somalia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and a former national team captain, described Artan as one of Africa’s most respected referees. “Omar Artan is among Africa’s most respected referees and deserves the support of the entire football community,” Abshir told AFP on Monday. 23-YEAR-OLD MISSOURI ARMY SGT.WHO WAS REPORTED MISSING LAST WEEK WAS SADLY FOUND DECEASED,INSIDE OF A DUMPSTER.(PHOTO).

 23-year-old Missouri Army Sgt. who was reported missing last week was sadly found deceased, inside of a dumpster.


When Sarah Roque failed to report for duty at Fort Leonard Wood on Monday, October 21st, it was a major cause for concern. The Ligonier, Indiana native was an exceptional soldier who was the recipient of several commendations including the Good Conduct Medal and not reporting for duty was extremely out of character for Sarah. 


An all out search for Sgt. Roque ensued, however it sadly concluded in the worst possible way. On Monday evening Sgt. Roque was discovered deceased inside of a dumpster.


Officials from Fort Leonard Wood have confirmed a person of interest has been taken into custody.  Although multiple agencies are now involved in the investigation including the FBI. The Army Criminal Investigations Division is remaining tight lipped with information at this time.


The name of the suspect and Sgt. Roque's exact manner of death are being withheld from the public at this time as the investigation continues.
