 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. 23-YEAR-OLD MISSOURI ARMY SGT.WHO WAS REPORTED MISSING LAST WEEK WAS SADLY FOUND DECEASED,INSIDE OF A DUMPSTER.(PHOTO).

 23-year-old Missouri Army Sgt. who was reported missing last week was sadly found deceased, inside of a dumpster.


When Sarah Roque failed to report for duty at Fort Leonard Wood on Monday, October 21st, it was a major cause for concern. The Ligonier, Indiana native was an exceptional soldier who was the recipient of several commendations including the Good Conduct Medal and not reporting for duty was extremely out of character for Sarah. 


An all out search for Sgt. Roque ensued, however it sadly concluded in the worst possible way. On Monday evening Sgt. Roque was discovered deceased inside of a dumpster.


Officials from Fort Leonard Wood have confirmed a person of interest has been taken into custody.  Although multiple agencies are now involved in the investigation including the FBI. The Army Criminal Investigations Division is remaining tight lipped with information at this time.


The name of the suspect and Sgt. Roque's exact manner of death are being withheld from the public at this time as the investigation continues. 


We will update when more information becomes available. 


Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Sgt. Sarah Roque.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
