  GOV. SANWO-OLU OFFICIALLY COMMISSIONS LAGOS STATE COMMERCIAL COURT AT TAPA, LAGOS ISLAND, ON TUESDAY APRIL 15, 2025. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially commissioned the Lagos State Commercial Court at Tapa, Lagos Island, today, Tuesday, April 15,2025. This development is expected to enhance the state's judicial system, particularly in commercial dispute resolution.   The establishment of the commercial court is a significant milestone in the state's efforts to promote a conducive business environment and ensure efficient justice delivery.  More details later and more photos below.

"I was with a friend of mine recently in Dubai, I don't want to mention his name. And he told me that they were begging Wizkid to come and perform for N32-million years ago but Wizkid turned it down. And said that he's not taking anything less than N40-million. Then one artiste who we all know but I won't mention his name was paid $80k by the same show organizers for 3 shows." Nedu

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
