 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Today Thursday the 11th of October 2024,an eyewitness reach out to PINK REPUBLIC TV/BLOG , sent this video with the caption 

"This just happened now Infront of Guardian news paper

Close to total bus stop oshodi-isolo express way, 3:06pm

3 custom officers were trying to stop a truck on high speed. There was a coaster bus Infront of the truck and another smaller truck Infront of the coaster bus.

The bigger truck was trying to run and dodge the custom officers and by so doing hit and smashed the coaster bus filled with passengers and then smashed against the smaller truck

The smaller truck fell and then the coaster bus was in-between the two trucks smashed

The custom officers ran away immediately the accident happened"

When I reached out to him if there were caulties, he replied "2 and some injured, It was just Infront of me".

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
