 BADAGRY ANGELS WIN LAGOS SOFTBALL TOURNEY  Badagry Angels have been crowned champions of the Lagos U-15 Softball Championship held recently at the Badagry Grammar School playing field, Badagry. The five-day tournament, which began on November 11, 2024, ended on Friday, November 15 where eight teams participated in the competition designed to drive the growth of the sport at the grassroots level. As Champions of the tournament, Badagry Angels showcased their dexterity and skills against Rak Angels in the grand finale, maintaining their good position and dominance on the field before finally trouncing their opponents 9 runs to 1.  Today Thursday the 11th of October 2024,an eyewitness reach out to PINK REPUBLIC TV/BLOG , sent this video with the caption 

"This just happened now Infront of Guardian news paper

Close to total bus stop oshodi-isolo express way, 3:06pm

3 custom officers were trying to stop a truck on high speed. There was a coaster bus Infront of the truck and another smaller truck Infront of the coaster bus.

The bigger truck was trying to run and dodge the custom officers and by so doing hit and smashed the coaster bus filled with passengers and then smashed against the smaller truck

The smaller truck fell and then the coaster bus was in-between the two trucks smashed

The custom officers ran away immediately the accident happened"

When I reached out to him if there were caulties, he replied "2 and some injured, It was just Infront of me".

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
